The types of personal data and the way we treat them depend on how you relate to us. For example, the personal data collected will be different if you are a client of DMS Advogados, or a potential client, or a visitor to our website, or an applicant for a position in our office.

  • Newsletter subscription: we collect your e-mail address when you sign up for our newsletter;

4. WHO DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH?

In carrying out our activities, we may share and/or make shared use of your data with certain partner organizations. In addition, in certain situations, we also have the duty to transmit certain information to public authorities (notifications, inspections, etc.), in accordance with the provisions of the law.

Below are some situations in which we may share and/or use your personal data:

  • Accounting: Our accounting is done by an external firm. As such, contact information such as e-mail, telephone number and the name of the person responsible for hiring us will be shared in order to issue invoices for services rendered, should you hire us.
  • Communications storage: communications made by e-mail or messages here on the website or Whatsapp are stored in our Microsoft Office 365, Google Ads, Hubspot, Meta Ads, Whatsapp and Hubspot accounts.
  • Document storage: the documents needed to provide the service are stored in our Microsoft Office 365 account.

 

5. WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA SUBJECT?

In compliance with personal data protection regulations in Brazil, we guarantee you the possibility of submitting requests based on the rights listed below:

  • Confirmation of the existence of treatment;
  • Access to data;
  • Correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
  • Anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary, excessive or processed data that does not comply with the provisions of this Law;
  • Data portability to another service or product provider;
  • Deletion of personal data processed with the consent of the data subject;
  • Information about public and private entities with which we share your data;
  • Information about the possibility of not giving consent and the consequences of refusing;
  • Revocation of consent;
  • Opposition to processing carried out on the basis of one of the hypotheses for waiving consent, in the event of non-compliance with the provisions of this Law.

6. HOW LONG WILL PERSONAL DATA BE STORED?

Your personal data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, unless there is another reason for keeping it, such as to comply with any legal, regulatory or contractual obligations. In addition, in order to define the optimum retention period, we carry out a technical assessment, taking into account legal aspects and your rights.

7. HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

To guarantee your privacy and the protection of your personal data, we have adopted advanced technological resources to ensure the security of all data processed by the firm.

Among the security measures implemented are controls on access to work machines, with the use of professional antivirus, individual login access to systems and accounts, barriers against improper access to databases (including firewalls), among other information security controls.
